So, you want to know how to order items from Amazon Japan? Does it look daunting because you reside outside of Japan? Well, you have come to the right place. Unfortunately, your account is not universal and registration is required for each country. But don’t worry, you don’t need to know Japanese to browse through the site, as Amazon Japan is readily available in English. In this article, we will go over step-by-step instructions on how to buy from Amazon Japan.
Please note, not all merchandise are available for international shipping. For those merchandise, please consider using our proxy shopping service where we buy on your behalf, and ship to you for a service fee. Take a look at the link below to request a quote by filling out the form below.

Method #1 – How to search for items available for global shipping
Follow the instructions below to order from Amazon Japan.
Register for an Amazon Japan Account → Click Here to Register for Free Amazon Japan Account – Only E-mail is required ←
You only need to enter your name, email and password to create an Amazon Japan account initially. See below of the actual screenshot. It is that simple! 
After the registration is complete, go to Amazon.co.jp. Switch the language to English by hovering your mouse over the Japanese flag icon (red dot inside the white rectangle). And click “English – EN” to navigate the site in English. See the screenshot below.
Make sure to enter the shipping address and payment information before you proceed through the next step. And you’ll be able to see the international shipping cost and proceed through the checkout process.
Search for the items
Let’s assume that you live in the United States and looking to purchase a toy figure from Amazon Japan. After you have created the Amazon Japan account, from the main home page click AmazonGlobal » Toys to see all the departments with the merchandise available for international shipping.
And based on the screenshot at the time of this article, you see the following results below. I want to purchase the Megami Device Magical Baselard Plastic Model.
Add an item
From the screenshot below, you’ll see the product page. The price of the item plus the international shipping cost is shown. This particular item is a pre-order and to find out the approximate delivery, click Pre-order now button (yellow) to proceed through the checkout process.
It shows the estimated delivery date is between May 3rd to May 6th, 2022. About 3 to 6 days from Japan to the USA. And before placing the order, please make sure you have entered the shipping address and the credit card information in step #2 & #3 checkout process. You should have no problem using the credit card issued from your country. But if you have problems, please leave a comment below this article.

I actually use a USA credit card through Amazon Japan and my credit card company does not charge any other additional fee. So for example, at the end of the Amazon Japan checkout process, you see $45 USD shown that is the amount it shows up on my credit card statement. Keep in mind though that my credit card does not charge any foreign transaction fee. I can’t say the same for your credit card or bank but if you ask them, you should be able to find out pretty easily. Any other questions, please let me know. Thank you.

It takes about a couple of weeks to Canada from Japan.
After I place the order from Amazon Japan, usually takes about 1 to 3 days for me to receive the package if the shipment is fulfilled by Amazon Japan. For items sold by a third party, it does take longer.

Are you from the USA? You get billed the same way as if you were purchasing any item from online in the USA. It will be shown on your statement that you bought stuff from Amazon Japan. As far as I know, Amazon Japan has their own payment gateway.
No I’m from india ,here amazon India redirects you to visa gateway where you enter the otp which is sent to your phone and then the payment is cleared.while amazon japans payment method is simple, it is new to me.so does amazon transfers the money from bank only using card number or we have to do something else? That sounds like a much more complicated process compared to Amazon Japan. 🙂 It is a much simpler process here. All they need is the card number to transfer the payment. But I do want to say, if you want to double check, Amazon Japan does have support in English. I’m assuming you already have an account with Amazon Japan (Since you tried to purchase a book). From the Amazon Japan homepage, you can scroll all the way down and look for “Contact Us” link and you’ll be able to chat with Amazon Japan customer service in English. This is also explained in my video above but who has time to watch my long video. 😛 Just kidding. Let me know how it goes.
I talked to them and they said that only the debit card number is needed to place an order and authorization(when shipping) and other stuff is done by amazon! so I don’t have to worry about a thing.
